The Marywood Media group seeks to foster collaboration among student media outlets within the Communication Arts Department, to serve as the public face of Communication Arts student media-related organizations, and to advocate for students working within the department’s media outlets at Marywood University.

Marywood Media Group (MMG) serves as a central network for the Communication Arts media-related organizations. These organizations include:

  • 91.7 VMFM
  • American Advertising Federation (AAF) Chapter
  • Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter
  • Society for Collegiate Journalists (SCJ) Chapter
  • TV-Marywood
  • The Wood Word

The Marywood Media Group:

  • forms a network that connects all media-related organizations within the Communication Arts Department
  • encourages organizations to work together
  • establishes open and efficient lines of communication between media-related organizations
  • expands the outreach and visibility of the Communication Arts Department media-related outlets and enhance their public images throughout the campus and local communities
  • further professionalizes the student media outlets
  • promotes ethical behavior within each media organization
  • increases visibility of campus media-related organizations
  • advocates for student concerns within the department
  • serves as an outlet for members of Communication Arts organizations to propose new ideas
  • oversees all event and fundraising activities of MMG student organizations
